Hello, everyone! I’m happy that you’ve stumbled into my blog. Now that you’re here, I’d like to tell you about it.
This is a blog dedicated to Mike Love. He is an artist, songwriter, and musician who is a co-founder of the DorseyXL. He is known for his skilled vocal techniques that heavily relies on his nasal tones. Mike has been the main singer and songwriter for most of the band’s performances.
Born as Michael Junior Love in 1961 to Jane Edwards and Anthony Love in San Diego, Mike attended Jonathan High School and graduated in 1970. Fresh out of high school, he had difficulty in choosing a career path. After quitting his job in a local gas station, Mike joined his father’s company which eventually whose financial stability met a significant decline in the late 1970’s.
He met his love for music when he befriended his cousins, and they would often sing together at Christmas gatherings. Under the vocal harmony guidance of a cousin named John Edward, the foundation of DorseyXL was formed, influenced by John’s devotion to another music band.
Considered by fans as the DXL’ main vocalist, he has sung most of their songs such as “I am in love with you,” “Don’t be Humble,” and “Travelers.” Not only did he serve as the main singer, but he also contributed most of the lyrics.
